About Southern Care hospice

Location:

6545 W Central Ave, Suite 103, Toledo, OH 43617, US

Mission Statement

To provide compassionate care and extraordinary service to the patients and the families we serve.

Description

Southern Care Hospice takes hospice care to wherever the patient calls home. Our volunteers can choose from many areas of interest as a partner to our patients. Some volunteers are simply companions, offering friendly visits others are crafty. With additional provided training some are simply present at bedside with a patient that is actively departing this world but may not have a family of his/her own. Others choose to work behind the scene by assisting in the office with many tasks from answering the phone, filing, putting supplies together for the nurses etc. Military Veteran volunteers are always sought out to be paired with veterans that are on the end-of-life journey and to assist in the many veteran specific community activities that Southern Care Hospice supplies.
