In an effort to grow The Longest Day in the Connecticut Chapter, we are organizing a group of passionate volunteers to form an Engagement Committee.

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Grow the reach of TLD by recruiting at least three (3) team leads
  • Help connect TLD leads from across the chapter to provide support and maximize potential
  • Provide input on fundraising challenges for participants

Members of the TLD Engagement Committee:

  • Attend a one-hour virtual meeting bi-monthly
  • Cultivate relationships with Fundraising Leaders and provide coaching and ideas on how to raise funds, recruit team members, and plan their day
  • Participate in event-specific focus groups to help team leads brainstorm and troubleshoot (e.g. golf, pickleball, etc.)
  • Engage TLD participants throughout the year by making retention and welcome phone calls, and/ or writing thank-you notes
  • Promote TLD on social media and in the community in addition to their personal TLD fundraiser
  • Provide honest feedback to TLD Staff to grow TLD
