ORGANIZATION: San Jose Public Library - Educational Park Branch Library

Do you enjoy math or puzzles? Do you like working with kids? Educational Park Branch Library is looking for teen volunteers to help with our upcoming Mathematics Festival on Saturday, August 6, 2022!

How You Will Make a Difference

Math is not always seen as fun and can sometimes be stressful for students. Volunteers will learn how to provide impactful training through games and puzzles to promote an impactful, play-based educational experience.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Help set up and breakdown the program
  • Guide festival participants through activities

Commitment/Schedule

  • Training: Thursday, August 4 th, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
  • Event Date: Saturday, August 6 th, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
