Threadz Teen Clothing Closet

Tempe Community Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking volunteers to help operate Threadz, a teen clothing closet for Tempe middle and high school students, located on the Marcos de Niza high school campus at 6000 S. Lakeshore Drive, in Tempe or at the Tempe High School campus located at 1730 S. Mill Ave in Tempe.

Threadz is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00-4:30 pm during the school year, providing students a free resource where they can obtain new and gently-used clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal hygiene items and more.

Volunteers will receive, sort and stock donations of clothing and supplies as well as assist students with their transactions. Each volunteer will be fingerprinted and a background check completed as required by all volunteers serving on the school campus.

Join other enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy working with teens, merchandising, and running a store-like operation to help students obtain the important items they need to attend and be successful in school.

If interested or have questions, email tccinformation@tempe.gov or call 480.858.2300. Volunteers are required to have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete the Volunteer Application for Tempe Union High School District. For more info about Threadz visit: www.tempecommunitycouncil.org/threadz.
