Join our volunteer team!

We need your help to check in scheduled shoppers as they arrive at our Westmont location, assist shoppers as they select free clothing, and sort donations to restock the 'store.’

To prevent the shopping area from becoming too busy, we are currently scheduling 3 shoppers every 30 minutes.

What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?

  • You are flexible , helping with tasks as needed at each shift
  • You look forward to welcoming shoppers with compassion
  • You benefit from being able to sit periodically while you work
  • You can volunteer weekly or sporadically at either of these times
    • Thursdays, 8:30-11:30am
    • Thursdays, 11:30am-2:30pm

Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 1,500 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. And we connect people with resources--education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community--to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.

Volunteer at PRC: Help in the food pantry or clothes closet, become a tutor, teach a class, organize a food drive, make a difference to a neighbor in need.
