The Knights of Columbus, Notre Dame Council 3021, and the Notre Dame Social Club will be hosting our second annual Wayne Open-air Christmas market, November 18-20. This 3-day event will feature a carters market, live entertainment, and lots of free family-friendly events. Santa will be on hand for free photos, and games, and selfie stations will be available along with other free events...

We are seeking volunteers for several areas.

  1. Set up on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 7 AM, the event opens at 12noon.
  2. General help (walk grounds, help guests, pick up trash, etc...)
  3. Hot/Cold Drink station (selling hot cocoa, hot apple cider, and adult beverages)
  4. along with other general help, such as games, crafts, and kitchen.
  5. Cleanup - each night grounds and trash cleanup and prep for the next day
  6. Teardown, Sunday, November 20, 2022, @ 7PM
We ask that you volunteer for 4 hours, but if you can't, and still want to help out for 2 hours, that's ok as well, and if you want to spend the whole day with us, we would love to have you.

Hours of operations:

Friday, November 18, 2022 - 12noon - 7 PM
Saturday, November 19, 2022 - 10 AM - 7 PM
Sunday, November 20, 2022 - 12noon -7PM

This is a perfect opportunity for Clubs, Groups, Families, and service hours. All volunteers will be provided with refreshments and food.

Description

The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to 15,900 councils and 1.9 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam, Saipan, Lithuania, Ukraine, and South Korea.

Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless. In 2017, the Knights of Columbus set a new all-time record for the 19th consecutive year. Our charitable donations increased from $177 million in 2016 to a new total of $185,652,989 in 2017. In addition, we achieved our highest level of charitable service in 2017, volunteering more than 75 million hours of service.
