Craft/Hobbies Volunteer- Volunteers that are crafty-sewing, knitting, crafting, scrapbooking, ect we will provide all supplies. We give these items to patients upon admission, birthdays, holidays
community Outreach/Event Planning/Fundraising volunteer-Looking for Volunteers that can assist Volunteer Manager in planning local events/fundraisers that will help educate local community about Hospice and assist in fundraising events, to raise money for our Hospice Promise Foundation

Mission Statement
Alabama Hospice of the Shoals Volunteers are special and a very important part of our hospice team. Patient care Volunteers visit with patients and their families. These visits might include reading to a patient, relieving the caregiver for a short time or just being there as a friend and someone to talk to. Volunteers are also needed in the office to assist staff with answering the phone and general office duties. Description
Alabama Hospice of the Shoals is Level 4 with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospice-Veteran Partnerships and VA facilities to join a pioneering program focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment. By recognizing the unique needs of America’s Veterans and their families, community providers, in partnership with VA staff, will learn how to accompany and guide them through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending.
