Unbroken Dreams is searching for a Volunteer Coordinator. If chosen for this position, you will be responsible for creating a volunteer handbook and volunteer presentation. You will be responsible for keeping our handbook up to date as well as making sure that all volunteers are knowledgeable about any new policies/procedures that are implemented. You will present, via zoom or other online platform, a presentation for the new volunteers that addresses our culture, expectations, etc. You will be the "go to" for our volunteers in the event they need assistance.
This position requires someone who is a self starter and independent decision maker. Must be comfortable with internet research. Writing skills recommended but not necessary.

Description
Unbroken Dreams was established as a non-profit 501c3 organization to help less fortunate people develop self-esteem and rebuild their lives by restoring the participant as a responsible member of the community. We provide the necessary housing location assistance, education, employment opportunities, and life skills training for people experiencing homelessness and people previously incarcerated as they move from dependent to self-sufficient lifestyles.
We believe that people have a difficult time integrating into society after incarceration or trauma if they do not have the fundamentals of life: a home, a job, and a feeling of community. They are in desperate need of housing as well as life skills to empower them to self-sufficiency. They will also benefit from numerous complementary supportive services, including life coaching, financial coaching, and soft skills instruction. Our goal is to empower our users to self-sufficiency by providing a program that will provide the necessary tools to assist them in their journey.
