VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Care Volunteers to visit patients on hospice residing in assisted living, nursing homes and/or their own homes located in the St. Louis area, 63147. This includes Hillside Manor located at 1265 McLaran Ave., St. Louis, MO 63147. Patient Care Volunteers offer companionship, play music, games, read to patients and help in other meaningful ways. This is critically important for patients at the end of life that do not have family or friends that visit. Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care through offering individualized support services.
Volunteers visit VITAS patients to provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering. Days and times for volunteering are flexible according to your availability. Please note that all Volunteer applicants in patient facing positions are required to have completed their COVID vaccinations prior to hire in order volunteer at VITAS. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
