QUICK OVERVIEW
Please join us for our Wildlife Tracking Program training. Dedicated volunteers are needed to monitor wild foxes and coyotes in the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. No experience is required and all training is provided.
MISSION
The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (Conservancy) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteers will conduct weekly surveys (weather permitting) from November through March- 2 days of training are required and will be conducted on Saturday, October 15th and 22nd- A five-month commitment is required for an assigned preserve area Tasks will include: walk a selected section of trail in the preserve note and submit observations: scat and paw prints. Minimum age 16.

Description
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
