Administrative Office Volunteer needed for a busy Hospice office. We are seeking assistance at our office during the business week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm Time shifts can be as little as two to three hours a week (or more) as long as schedules can be regular.
A variety of duties such as typing, mailing, scaning, materials assembly, computer tracking and other functions may be a part of this opportunity.
Friendly staff are always available to train and support our volunteers. If you have a giving heart and are interested in the hospice philosophy of care, we are waiting for you!
Volunteers should be mature, reliable, and able to work independently. All COVID safety precautions are observed in the office.

Description
APEX Hospice and Palliative Care seeks to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families who are facing a terminal illness. We focus on quality of life by providing comfort, company and active treatment of distressing symptoms, with the patient and their family as the focus of care. Services are provided by a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Comfort and coping resources are provided to the family for up to 13 months following the death of their loved one. "Family" is patient defined, and may include friends, significant others, life partners and relatives by blood or marriage. It is the expectation of APEX Hospice and Palliative Care that all employees and volunteers are strongly committed to the dignity and worth of each individual human being. Integrity and responsibility are expected conduct in all contacts with patients, families, other service providers, coworkers and the public.
