VOLUNTEER FROM HOME! RED CROSS DISPATCHER DUTY OFFICERS NEEDED!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross of Southeastern PA - Headquarters

  • 3 people are interested

In this vital role, you are the liaison between local authorities and Red Cross volunteers responding to local disasters, primarily single house fires. Requires strong communication skills, reliable phone & Internet service, and commitment to training. Once trained, sign up for one or two on-call shifts every other week (each shift 4-6 hours) and only respond during your window of availability. If nothing happens during your shift, which is most of the time, you go about your normal day. But if there is an event during your shift, the expectation is you can put aside what you are doing to respond. Be there - from the comfort of your home - when needed most.
