Recruiting Organization: Housing Alliance and Community Partnerships

HACP works with extreme to moderately low-income families. Currently there are 578 families receiving

rental assistants through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. HACP also owns/manages 452 units of

affordable housing. In 2021 HUD designated HACP as a Move to Work (MTW) agency.

This a designation allows the housing authority to adopt financial and program

policies that are outside normal regulations.

Policy changes must support the activities of the PHA, while having a

direct financial savings to the agency and increasing the services provided to

the population we serve. The Vista

position will concentrate on researching, developing, and writing new

initiatives for the Move to Work program (MTW). The goal for the Vista position will

research the internal policies of the PHA, identify cost saving initiatives through

streamlined procedures. The Vista

position will conduct tenant outreach to analyze the needs of the population

with a concentration on self-sufficiency.

The Vista position will collaborate with employers, local social service

agencies and Idaho State University, all of which have entered into partnership

agreements to promote the MTW efforts.

HACP will be offering incentives to tenants who engage in activities

promoted through the MTW flexibilities.

HACP hopes to move nonelderly/disabled tenants out of poverty and

increase their overall quality of life.
