In collaboration with the RCOO, Emergency Coordinators and Deputy Emergency Coordinators will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure completed Emergency Action Plan [EAP] is posted in each facility
Ensure workforce [employees and volunteers] in each facility is aware of the EAP and appropriate actions in case of emergency
Ensure facility-specific information is added to the Emergency Contact List
Ensure Hazard Vulnerability Assessment is conducted
Ensure optional emergency protocol is selected based on facility risk
Ensure facility is included in an exercise or drill as required by internal Red Cross policy and/or local ordinances
Ensure the facility’s functional team call down tree is accurate
Participate in quarterly calls/meetings with Regional Emergency Action Planning Committee
Support regional readiness efforts that promote personal preparedness among workforce
In collaboration with Disaster Cycle Services [DCS] team, establish communications and coordination with local emergency management agencies for receiving threat assessments that contribute to situational awareness
Support regional safety strategy and activities as established by RCOO
Respond and make decisions about immediate response to no-notice emergencies within a Red Cross facility
