Grant Manager

About the Role:

Mentor a Promise is seeking a passionate Grant Manager with excellent writing skills to join our fast-paced team. The candidate must be committed to helping achieve our vision.

• Help to develop and implement grant strategies and plans to secure funding for MAP's programs and initiatives
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Executive Director to gather necessary information and documentation required for grant applications
• Oversee the grant application process, including proposal writing with stakeholders' input, budget development, and submission in compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines
• Oversee the pre-award and post-award grant management process, including monitoring of grant deliverables and deadlines, grant compliance, reporting, and financial tracking
• Monitoring and ensuring MAP's adherence to grant budget guidelines and reporting requirements
• Developing systems and processes to facilitate consistent grant management and tracking across MAP's grants portfolio
• Providing regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to monitor grant-related expenditures for prompt revenue recognition document processing in MAP's financial management system

Additional responsibilities

Research funding opportunities from varied sources, including:

• Grant Databases (such as Candid);
• Community Foundations;
• New York City Council (Speaker Initiatives, Borough Delegations; Individual Member Items);
• Executive Agencies (including Federal, State, Mayoral, Boroughwide)
• New York State Legislature;
• Help discover and secure grant opportunities
