Mission: PalsNPets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to homeless pet owners and their pets. We are a unique kind of organization with a mission to increase shelter access for people experiencing homelessness with pets by supporting human shelters with pet programs.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: We are looking for experienced fundraisers and networkers who can research and identify funding, as well as engage and develop lasting relationships with current and potential donors. The Pro Bono Fundraising Manager we are looking for will be a dependable self-starter with excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills.
The volunteer will:
* Develop a fundraising plan with support from Executive Director
* Develop and plan fundraising events
* Develop a fundraising team
* Investigate and identify prospective funding sources
* Research, develop, and write inquiries, letters, and other fundraising documents
* Draft compelling proposal narratives and other correspondence to solicit funding from donors
* Track, monitor, and manage all correspondences
* Engage with donors and develop a donor list
Requirements:
* Experience in philanthropy and non-profit organizations, a plus
* Proven experience as a non-profit fundraiser or grant writer, a plus
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Demonstrated strong fundraising, planning, communication, and organizational skills
* Excellent writing, grammar, and research skills.
Time Commitment:
* Flexible hours to be determined each week until the completion of the project, remote volunteer role, volunteers will need to be mindful of deadlines.
