HSE is currently seeking 2 motivated graphic designers to help with the creation of content for HSE’s various promotional platforms.

As a graphic designer for HSE, you’ll be tasked with creating 1-2 promotional graphics per week to promote the organization. Possible graphic design jobs may range from layouts for articles on our WeChat official accounts, to recruitment ads for students and tutors, to layouts for internal handbooks and materials.

Volunteer Requirements

  1. Knowledge of how to use various graphic design softwares;
  2. Strong English or Chinese skills;
  3. Ability to make engaging content.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Graphic design experiences.
This is a great opportunity to help expand English education to those currently unable to access it, and make a large and meaningful impact while also gaining deep hands-on design & education experience. HSE aims to make English education accessible worldwide through the provision of free, interactive English lessons to all who desire it. Through interaction with a network of purely volunteer tutors who aim to create equitable, immersive, and approachable class environments, students can learn practical English not taught in traditional classrooms, and in doing so are empowered in more positively contributing to the wellbeing of their communities and the world as a whole.

Description

Huishuo English (HSE) is an online volunteering and tutoring organization, based in Virginia in the United States. We seek to make high-quality English tutoring easily accessible to all.

HSE was founded in March 2020 by a group of high school and college students. Since then, we’ve recruited 300+ tutors worldwide and taught 400+ students across China, logging 5,000+ hours of English instruction.

HSE is happy to provide verification of volunteer hours (for community service requirements), volunteer certificates, and recommendations. Volunteering experiences with HSE can also be submitted as part of resumes for college and job applications.
