ConnectPlus is currently seeking 2 motivated video editors to help with the creation of content for ConnectPlus' various promotional platforms.

As a video editor for ConnectPlus, you’ll be tasked with editing at least one 3-6 minute video per week for ConnectPlus' Instagram, TikTok, WeChat official account, and RED account. Possible video topics may range from interviews with college students, to conversations with English educators, to recruitment advertisements for students and tutors.

Volunteer Requirements

  1. Knowledge of how to use various video editing softwares;
  2. Strong English and Chinese skills;
  3. Abilities to make engaging content.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Video editing experience
This is a great opportunity to help expand English education to those currently unable to access it, and make a large and meaningful impact while also gaining deep hands-on design & education experience. Mission Statement

ConnectPlus aims to make English education accessible worldwide through the provision of free, interactive English lessons to all who desire it. Through interaction with a network of purely volunteer tutors who aim to create equitable, immersive, and approachable class environments, students can learn practical English not taught in traditional classrooms, and in doing so are empowered in more positively contributing to the wellbeing of their communities and the world as a whole.

Description

ConnectPlus is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Virginia in the United States, founded in March 2020 by a group of high school and college students. We seek to make high-quality English education easily accessible to all. Since 2020, ConnectPlus has recruited 500+ tutors worldwide and taught 600+ students across China, logging 10,000+ hours of English instruction.

HSE is ConnectPlus' English-tutoring branch. HSE is happy to provide verification of volunteer hours (for community service requirements), volunteer certificates, and recommendations. Volunteering experiences with HSE can also be submitted as part of resumes for college and job applications.
