Paws and Claws Chicago Rescue is looking for someone who loves to do all things event planning! We are looking for passionate, excited go-getters to help us.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Overall event, plan, vision, theme
  • Reaching out to vendors and asking them to participate
  • Planning auction/raffle
  • Food and refreshments
  • Recruiting volunteers for day of staffing
  • Managing/designing decorations
  • Helping organize and send out email invites
  • Finding and approaching corporate sponsors

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to have a real say in the vision and planning for a fun successful event. You would be joining a small close-knit, kind team of volunteers with a passion for rescue animals.

Hybrid volunteer position. Office space available for in-person volunteering at 829 Chicago Ave, Evanston.

Paws and Claws Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventing and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Description

Paws and Claws is a cat rescue that focuses on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at animal care and control facilities for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
