UP Health System Hospice is currently looking for people who feel called to serve in this capacity.
Hospice volunteers help provide family and caregivers with a much-needed break from their duties and help care for the patient. The help can be done in doing light household cleaning, running errands, sitting with patients or many other activities. They help serve as a way for the family/caregivers to rest.
Our volunteers are essential in providing the level of care and support that patients and their loved ones except from hospice care. The primary goal of a volunteer is to provide empathy and companionship to the patient and their loved ones during their difficult times.
