Bomb Techs Without Borders is a humanitarian demining non-profit founded in 2018. Our mission is to eliminate casualties caused by landmines and explosive remnants of war through explosive ordnance risk education, global awareness campaigns, technical advisory, and training.

We are looking for a Volunteer Logistics Coordinator to support our expanding Assets and Logistics arm of the organization. We will look to you to provide your expertise to create a cohesive organizational image in furtherance of our nonprofit’s goals.

As a Volunteer Logistics Coordinator, we expect you to support the Assets and Logistics tracking the movement of the organization including supporting accounts receivables processes, coordinating movement of equipment and people, and supporting setup of campaign activities. Exceptional communication skills are a must along with a strong knowledge of computer technology and general business operations.

As a volunteer, you have full control over your schedule. However, given the demands of the organization we are expecting at least 1-2 hours per week to support project requirements.

**Note that this and all positions within the organization are volunteer-based and are not currently financially compensated.

Responsibilities:

  • Support general asset and logistics operations and exec leadership
  • Coordinate logistical details and communications of efforts and meet deadlines
  • Maintain accurate materials and documents for reference purposes
  • Coordinate project launches, meetings, shipping, receiving and ensuring that all logistics are managed properly
  • Assist with planning activities and ensure that any needed modifications are appropriately incorporated
  • Plan and schedule activities in a proactive manner by interacting with both external agencies and organizations
  • Produce and distribute relevant materials and resources
  • Disseminate tasks through staff and ensure that all objectives are being continuously met
  • Record and update information in the company database (data entry).
  • Prepare procedure and guidance notes to present to leaders and team
  • Develop appropriate channels of communication across groups to facilitate teamwork
  • Identify process improvement opportunities for operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Adequate experience as a coordinator in a business environment preferably in logistics
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in technology and general office equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • An understanding and commitment to our mission
  • Demonstrate a collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a start-up environment
