The 49th Annual Centerfest Arts Festival in the Heart of Downtown Durham is on September 21 & 22 2024. CenterFest is the longest-running juried outdoor arts festival in North Carolina.
To make sure this festival runs smoothly, we need as many helping hands as we can get! From Artist Services Assistant to KidsZone Assistant, there are many opportunities and shifts to pick from. If interested, here is the Sign Up link:
Volunteer at CenterFest - Durham Arts Council
CenterFest happens because of people like you- each year, over 300 volunteers contribute to the effort of pulling this festival together. Take a look at each volunteer job description listed in the Sign Up above, and pick the role(s) and time(s) that are most appealing to you. Please dress for the weather, drink lots of water, and have a great time!
Festival hours this year are Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 11am-5pm.

Durham Arts Council, Inc. is a catalyst in the cultural development of Durham - it leads, inspires, and promotes excellence in and access to the creation, experience, and active support of the arts for all the people of our community.
Description
We are a private nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts in Durham and the Triangle Region in North Carolina.
* We help professional and amateur artists and arts organizations produce music, theatre, dance, visual, and literary art.
* We help residents and visitors find, enjoy and participate in the artistic and cultural events available in the community.
* We manage the Durham Arts Council Building, a city owned, multi-purpose community arts center in downtown Durham, North Carolina.
* We program classes in the performing, literary and visual arts for toddlers through seniors.
* We work with public and private schools, as well as other community organizations, to provide teaching artist programs.
* We raise public and private funds to support the arts in the community.
* We provide grants, information and networking for artists and arts groups.
* We provide exhibit space for visual artists.
* We produce street arts festivals including CenterFest and the Durham Art Walk.
