Title: Helping Hand to hospice family

Team or department: Volunteer department, reporting to the volunteer coordinator

Description of role: Volunteer needed to assist a hospice family with different needs such as light housekeeping, errands, companionship care, or sitting with patient while the family caregiver runs errands or goes to the doctors.

Primary Responsibilities: Our CenterCare hospice volunteers are assigned to a hospice family, they arrange a time to meet with the family caregiver, and after determining what needs the family has, they create a plan with the family to assist with those needs.

Skills: Reliable, Ability to down-load volunteer APP to record hours and chart notes, honest, loving and kind

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per MONTH

All CenterCare Hospice volunteers go through hospice training, TB testing, and drug testing

Volunteer for Hospice!

There are three primary types of volunteer opportunities:

*Patient Care

*Bereavement Care

*Office Support

We are also looking for special talents: music therapy, massage therapy, beautician/barber and pet therapy just to name a few. CenterCare Hospice is committed to providing compassionate care for our friends and neighbors. All volunteers will receive training and are supported by the Volunteer Coordinator.
