Our hospice companion volunteers visit with our patients a few times a month. Their visits provide companionship to our patients. For patients living at home our volunteers provide much needed relief to primary caregivers to take some time for self-care.

Description

At Transitions Hospice, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in hospice and palliative care. We specialize in supporting individuals and families who are facing the physical, emotional, social and spiritual challenges confronted when dealing with terminal illness. Hospice care neither prolongs nor shortens life. Our objective is to maximize our patients’ comfort and quality of life during the time they have remaining.

  • Orientation or Training
  • After orientation process we would like to see a minimum of 1 hour with patent. This time can be used to do a craft, teach a new skill, just be a companion to the patient.
