The BrainDance Awards encourage students to gain knowledge about psychiatric diseases and develop a more tolerant and realistic perspective toward people with severe psychiatric problems. The competition also aims to promote students’ interest in careers in mental health care.

The volunteer in this role will assist in efforts to expand the outreach and participation in this program.
In the summer the volunteer would research and compile a database of schools and Boards of Education throughout Connecticut. In the early fall the volunteer will call/email the schools and send information about the Award program.
The volunteer may assist in developing a brochure with our Media department.
In February and March the volunteer may participate in judging the submissions.
