Recruiting Organization: American Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming

The VISTA will help establish new clubs, train and support club officers, and get current Red Cross volunteers involved. Getting involved with Red Cross as a young person will help alleviate poverty by focusing on communities with high social vulnerability and rural communities with economic challenges. Participating in the clubs will open doors for young people to get real-world experience and skills through their volunteer role that translate to the workplace and will help them make a difference in their neighborhood, school, and as part of a global movement.

Research- Consider the current table of organization, intake process, general youth volunteer base, and club creation process to understand how it aligns with National objectives, processes, and requirements. Develop- Design any new roles and responsibilities, as well as any additional supports, for the current program structure, and lead a volunteer team that can fill those roles. Implement- Utilize the processes, systems, and plans you have developed to create additional youth clubs in key areas of our states, grow the involvement and activity levels of current clubs, and establish an integrated youth culture throughout all Red Cross lines of service that see our youth as a viable option for their volunteer needs.
