An 81-year-old woman with ALS has a variety of tasks that she would love volunteer assistance with! She currently utilizes 2 volunteers through our program, but would appreciate a 3rd person joining that team.

1. GARDENING: She has a beautiful backyard and loves flowers, so would be grateful for a volunteer to help plant and weed.

2. LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING: She'd appreciate help with vacuuming, cleaning floors, and general tidying up.

3. YARD WORK: She'd be interested in hearing from a volunteer who might like to help clean gutters or wash windows.

4. BAKING: She loves to bake and make cookies: due to increasing hand weakness, she would enjoy having a volunteer to help with this process.

5. READING: This woman is legally blind, so a volunteer could help her by reading things such as the mail.

She would ideally like a volunteer who is able to visit weekly for a couple of hours at a time, but is very flexible regarding days/times. We'd love to hear from you if any of the above tasks sound like fun!
