LSS of Northern California is honored to provide wraparound services to families exiting homelessness in San Francisco. We currently have several families with Cantonese or Mandarin speaking parents with whom we need assistance to enact communications to ensure that these families receive all the services they need to become stable and remain housed.

Volunteers will sit with case managers and residents during critical conversations to provide translation. These conversations will occur in scheduled meetings based on all participants' availability.

In nearly all cases currently, the interpreting is performed by minor children, and parents are not always as frank as they need to be about family needs and challenges when their children are present.
