ORGANIZATION: Gentiva Hospice - Camp Hill

Kindred Hospice has a staff of volunteers that are trained to provide companionship and support to the patient and their family. Listed below are are examples of what our volunteers can do to help our patients and families.
1.Sit with patients in their homelike setting ( such as an assisted living facility, nursing home) for a few hours for caregiver relief
2. Provide care giver relief
3.Provide companionship- reading, talking, playing games/cards, writing letters or crafts, providing emotional/spiritual support.
4.Make tuck in calla on a regular basis, usually weekly to ensure that the patient has supplies needed prior to the weekend/ and/or holiday
5.Conduct life reviews
6. Light house keeping and/or yard work
7. Paint fingernails and brush/style hair
8. prepare meals/snacks
9. Preform /play music
10. Help admin in the home office in Camp Hill
11. Ability to work with Veteran patients and families

Kindred Hospice ensures proper safety measures against covid 19 such as having volunteers vaccinated for their safety as well as the patients that we serve and also wearing PPE/masks while working with our patients.
