The International Women's Club needs more trained English teachers to lead classes for women who wish to improve their English skills. We need experienced teachers at three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. It will be possible to teach via Zoom or in person, whichever is most workable and comfortable for you. It is possible to teach a class once or twice a week. Classes are usually 1- 2 hours in length and can be held once or twice a week. Classes are small- usually under 10 women. Student books and other resources and supports are available. You will be part of a teacher team and part of a club that has served international women for over 60 years. Please express your interest soon as we are starting to plan our fall 2022 semester during July 2022. See our web page for more information about our club and our English classes: http://iwciowacity.wordpress.com

We are a group of women from the U.S.A. and around the world who share activities that promote friendship and understanding. We are based in Iowa City.
We are an Iowa City based organization associated with International Student and Scholar Services at the University of Iowa. We usually have over 150 members from over 40 countries. We meet in many groups so our members can take part in whichever groups interest them. We offer social events such as cooking, fitness and craft groups as well as monthly coffees, lunches and dinners. We also offer English classes to women who wish to learn or improve their English. A yearly membership fee of $10.00 is charged to help pay for the expenses of meetings, mailings and special events.
