Do you believe housing should be affordable and stable for all residents including renters? Join our grassroots rent control and just cause evictions campaign; our measure provides protections and rent stabilization for over half the residents of Pasadena. We are seeking new leaders to be our volunteer Campaign Organizers. This role involves connecting well with others over the phone to recruit volunteers and educate the community about our rent control measure.

This high priority role will run one phonebanking event one day per week from 6-8PM Monday through Friday. Phonebanking is an essential task for campaign work that consists of calling constituents and utilizing a talking script. Turnout Titans are also required to perform turn out calls to all campaign contacts in order turn out or recruit a minimum of 10 volunteers per week for field mobilizations.

Campaign Organizer -
Turnout/recruit 10 volunteers per week for field operations through turnout calls (2.5hrs)
Complete one field shift per week (3hrs)
Run one weeknight phonebanking event (2.5hrs)


Requirements:

Commitment of 8 hours per week
-one weeknight of phonebanking,
-one weekday/night of turnout calls
-one field shift

New Campaign Organizers will receive hands on training in our campaign literacy and best practices to mobilize a community of passionate volunteers and to educate neighbors of Pasadena in our fair and equitable rent control measure. Phone calls may be performed remotely with an option of doing so in person. All field work is to be done within the city of Pasadena.
