Cornerstone Collaborative FL is seeking volunteers to assist in teaching a remote tech class to students in Jamaica. We are looking for someone who loves technology and is able to assist the head instructor teach in a fun, informal, creative, and social environment. Our Tech volunteers will help us bring digital equity to Jamaica via remote learning for one hour in weekly workshops.

Our ideal volunteer:

  • Knows software and loves learning new technology
  • Is excited about sharing a love of technology with others
  • Has a sense of humor
  • Is passionate about creating digital equity

Description

Cornerstone Collaborative Florida aims to: (1) provide advisory assistance and support to proven-risk individuals and so-called "Opportunity Youth" (2) engage community partners in the development of pathways leading to entrepreneurship and employment supporting neighborhood development; (3) establish a sustainable regional service delivery model which is capable of replication to attain social and economic justice. (4) promote positive health, nutrition, and wellness for individuals and communities, (5) disrupt the school to prison pipeline (6) lower recidivism in the justice system (7) end cycles of community violence and generational poverty through financial literacy and economic opportunity, and (8) establish social impact finance models to reduce government spending.
