If you have a caring and compassionate heart and a desire to bring presence, joy and companionship to patients with less than 6 months to live, this opportunity may change your life. No experience is necessary. Training is provided to prepare you for your volunteer role with ongoing guidance and support.

As a hospice volunteer, you will share your presence and natural gifts with patients at the end of life. By volunteering, you will contribute to our hospice team, and help patients and families cope with practical, emotional and spiritual challenges at the end of life.

There are many ways to serve and share your gifts with families near you:

• provide a quiet presence
• provide companionship
• play music
• be a certified pet therapy volunteer
• serve our veteran patients (especially if you are a veteran)
• help our patients celebrate life events such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays

Bilingual volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

Being a hospice volunteer can be a deeply rewarding experience. Our volunteers gain satisfaction knowing they make a difference in the lives of others. And volunteering can also provide many opportunities for growth, learning and professional development.

Agape Hospice received in 2021 and 2022 the "Readers' Choice" Best Hospice Award by the Arizona Daily Star. We provide excellent care to our hospice patients and their families, and our volunteer program is exceptional.
