The Finger Lakes Toy Library is seeking volunteers to help assist us in operating playtime outreach events!

FLTL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to improve quality of life by increasing access to toys, supporting play, and encouraging a culture of reuse and sharing. We offer memberships by donation using a pay-what-you-can-honestly-afford system with no minimum costs and no late fees.

We currently have a collection of over 1,300 toys, games, and puzzles and serve nearly 400 members across the Finger Lakes region. Help us continue to make a difference in the lives of children and their families!

Volunteer Title: Playtime Assistant

Key Volunteer Responsibilities: Check out and bring toys to playtime events at partner organizations and, occasionally, in the toy library. Ensure that all toy parts return to the toy library in the correct packaging/containers and in good condition. Answer questions from attendees about the toy library.

Desired skills/qualifications of volunteer: Reliable and able to work independently. Interest in children, play, toys, and early childhood development. Interest in discussing and advocating for the toy library to attendees. Must have reliable transportation.
