Help us meet our mission to raise awareness and connect Veterans, their families, and caregivers to information and sources of help for benefits earned through service to our country.

  • Recruit and develop volunteers to participate as needed in areas like Events, Data Entry, Research, Writing, Website Development, and updating site pages.
  • Coordinate task assignment with team leaders, aligning tasks with individual volunteer interests and skills.
  • Serve as a Liaison for communication between the volunteers and Team Leaders.
  • Provide individual volunteer support as needed.
  • Coordinate onboarding of individual volunteers.
  • Assist with determining recruitment needs.
  • Perform interviews for new volunteers and enter contact, interest, status, and skills information into database.
  • Represent the volunteer program in weekly virtual Team Leader and other periodic meetings.

Mission Statement

KnowAVet? is an IRS approved service to veterans and our families, designed to Attract, Inform and Connect whose who would risk their lives to protect ours and our way of life. We provide information and assistance, to aid in learning of 90+ issues we have earned help for, and how to get that help, through government and/or community resources, for our best possible life after service.

Description

KAV helps vets and their families via our:

  1. Physical and online outreach;
  2. Website - with 90+ issues and hundreds of videos, along with links to literally thousands of local resources to help veterans;
  3. "KnowAVet News", has well researched articles on topics to better the lives of Post 911 vets and their families, as well as Senior Vets and Surviving Spouses;
  4. KAV provides personal help via email, social media and phone, through our live, "Champions" for anyone who asks for help.
