The Covenant House New York (CHNY) is the nation's largest non-profit for adolescents, serving runaway, homeless, trafficked and at-risk youth aged 16 to 24. CHNY provides a continuum of residential care, including immediate shelter, transitional living, and permanent housing programs.
The Stepping Stones Shelter specifically provides housing and wraparound support to young mothers and their infant children. Parenting support, counseling, and educational workshops help new moms learn how to care for themselves and their child.

- Experience with babies and children
- Empathy and patience
- Mothers are welcome!
- Willingness to undergo background check
- Commitment of 2-3 months with option to continue longer
Schedule: At least one evening a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday evenings) for 3-4 hours
*Open to discussing your schedule - 3 months of commitment is preferred*
