CAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social enterprise with a history of designing and launching programs to meaningfully impact communities and provide sustainable resource solutions. We are located in Denver, Colorado at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and provide VISTAs with a $500 per month grocery and $100 per month gas stipend.

ICAST’s work to finance green upgrades in low-income communities is rapidly expanding with its additional service territories, as well as increased collaboration with its community development financial institution (CDFI) affiliate, Triple Bottom Line Foundation (TBL Fund). TBL Fund develops financial products/services and provides technical assistance to multifamily affordable housing providers so they can adopt energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. As such, ICAST is looking to build out its capabilities to collaborate with CDFIs and impact its service communities with green financing.

We are looking for individuals who have the following:

-Associate Degree (or equivalent experience); Bachelor’s degree preferred

-Solid communication skills (both oral and writing)

-Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively

-Strong work ethic

-Flexibility and dependability

-Ability to work independently on tasks to complete projects

-Ability to prioritize and track work, tasks, activities, and events

-Strong organizational skills

-Basic proficiency in a software suite (preferably Microsoft Office)

-Familiarity with conducting demographic and market research, developing templates/data collection processes

The objectives of this project include:

-Developing environmental impact and demographic capturing/tracking systems and approaches

-Developing a community outreach and partnership pipeline process and its required monitoring tools

-Enhancing the five-year projection template and tools for the Finance department

-Conducting market research on target markets for loans and financial products/services/partners/community needs when appropriate

-Assisting in the development of the solar lending programs, a joint venture between ICAST and TBL Fund

-Developing standard operating procedures and policies for department newly developed and enhanced services.
