About the Crimes Against Children Conference

Internationally recognized, the Crimes Against Children Conference is the premier conference providing practical and interactive instruction to those fighting crimes against children and helping children heal. Presented annually by the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, the conference offers training to those employed by government or nonprofit agencies in law enforcement, child protective services, social work, children's advocacy, therapy, and medicine who work directly with child victims of crime. There were more than 5,100 professionals from around the world in 2019 at our last in-person event!


What will volunteers do?

Volunteers are needed to help staff the event and will primarily serve as room monitors. Volunteers will have the unique opportunity to listen and learn from some of the most talented and experienced speakers in the child abuse field. If desired, volunteers can request TCOLE credit for the workshops they work in.


What time commitment is needed?

We ask that all volunteers commit to serving at least one full day at the conference. Daily lunch, snacks, parking, and a t-shirt will be provided.


What are the dates?

Volunteer opportunities are available from Sunday, August 7 th through Thursday, August 11 th. All conference volunteers must attend a training session on Thursday, August 4th, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at DCAC. More information can be found on the attached flyer.


Where is the conference held?

The Crimes Against Children Conference is held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, 400 Olive Street, Dallas, 75201. The volunteer training session on August 4 th will be held at Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, 5351 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, 75228
