The North Country National Scenic Trail is the longest in the National Trails System, stretching 4,800 miles across eight states from North Dakota to Vermont.All along the NCNST, but particularly in the Adirondacks due to the difficulty of reaching some remote areas, Trail Stewards are needed to adopt sections of trail to inspect and perform light maintenance as needed. Tools can be provided. You'll be furnishing your own gear and labor to ensure the North Country Trail is in good condition for all to enjoy.
