Volunteering with Compassus is a rewarding way to enhance the lives of hospice patients and their families. You'll find companionship with fellow volunteers and joy in serving others.

A volunteer coordinator works directly with you to identify opportunities to match your goals and abilities. Some volunteers choose direct patient support while others work behind the scenes at the office or with the hospice team. All volunteers receive free training at a local office.

Each day, hospice volunteers touch the lives of our patients and their families. Whether reading to a patient, preparing a meal for a family or cleaning up around the house, each gesture makes a meaningful impact on those we serve. Patients and families often tell us that hospice volunteers are a treasure, you'll be helping others at a time of great need. You can serve in direct patient support, bereavement, Veteran-to-Veteran, 11th-Hour/Vigil or Supplementary services (specialty training) like death doula, reiki, pet therapy, music therapist and ect...
