Volunteers are the Heart of Hospice & Community Care

"Hospice isn't about dying in the end. It's about living till the end." - HCC Volunteer

Looking for a unique and rewarding way to serve your local community & make a difference in the lives of others? Hospice & Community Care is seeking bereavement volunteers at our Pathways Center for Grief and Loss in Mount Joy.

Volunteers who have experienced a personal loss are often paired with grieving persons for personal visits, phone calls, and Zoom or in-person support meetings that are facilitated by our Pathways Center for Grief and Loss bereavement staff. Volunteers may also help with the Pathways Center Coping Kids and Teens Program, or Camp Chimaqua, a week-long camp for grieving children.

Interested volunteers will meet with Pathways Center staff to determine where they might be a good fit. Volunteer training will be provided, as well as in-person shadow opportunities with Pathways Center staff and seasoned bereavement volunteers.
