Phoenix Community Smoke Alarm Walk
ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org
Please visit the new page to apply.
Recruiting Organization: Arizona Burn Foundation
On October 15, 2022 the Arizona Burn Foundation is partnering with the Phoenix Fire Department to educate the community, reduce the risk of house fires, and save lives! With your help, we are installing free smoke alarms in low-income, high-risk homes.
Date: Saturday, October 15, 2022
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Targeted neighborhood: Starlight Park Elementary School
We hope to reach 400 homes with this event, so we need volunteers to help make this happen! We will provide all the necessary tools and training the morning of the walk, so you are ready to do the installs. This is a great event that helps communities in need while potentially saves lives. It is also a great way to meet and network with others that truly care about giving back!
Volunteers can sign up at https://azburn.org/advocacy-and-education/community-smoke-alarm/. Click on the "Apply To Volunteer" button and find the event on the calendar. If you are a new volunteer, create an account to RSVP.
If you need more information or have any questions, please reach out!
