Action Youth Media provides free classes and studio space for teens and young adults in our new studio in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. Thanks to local teaching artists and dedicated volunteers, we are able to reopen with health precautions.
Adult volunteers help greet parents and students, sign them in, help with SSL forms, help the teaching artist set up for class (cameras, supplies, etc.), help with break-out sessions as needed, and help close up the studio after class. Volunteers receive orientation and training and are not ever left alone with the students.
Background check, photo ID, and sign-up for specific dates are all required.
