Vigil Volunteer Team/11th hour volunteer
ORGANIZATION: ViaQuest, Inc.
Please visit the new page to apply.
ViaQuest Hospice is seeking volunteers willing to sit with patients during their final hours.
The Vigil Volunteer supports the ViaQuest patient and patient’s family in the last hours of the patient’s life, sitting bedside with the patient, being present to provide support for the patient as well as the patient’s family.
A caring, compassionate heart and flexibility are the keys to this volunteer opportunity. Care and compassion are the natural ingredients for every hospice volunteer, and flexibility is required for those who are able to offer their time, with short notice, to sit with a patient in the last hours.
The Vigil experience is one of calm and peace that bring comfort to families and patients (especially those who have no family).
Volunteer orientations are held monthly at our Marysville office. To learn more, call or email ViaQuest for more information. We invite you to join our team of exceptional hospice volunteers!
