ViaQuest Hospice is seeking volunteers to sit with patients during their final hours.
The Vigil Volunteer supports the ViaQuest patient and the patient’s family in the last hours of the patient’s life, sitting bedside with the patient, being present to provide support for the patient as well as the family.
A caring, compassionate heart and flexibility are the keys to this volunteer opportunity. Care and compassion are the natural ingredients for every hospice volunteer, and flexibility is required for those who are able to offer their time, with short notice, to sit with a patient in the last hours.
The Vigil experience is one of calm and peace that brings comfort to families and patients (especially those who have no family). What an amazing difference you can make!
