TITLE OF POSITION: Volunteer Soccer Coach
SUPERVISED AND SUPPORTED BY: Wilson Ramos
PURPOSE OF JOB: Help youth players improve their soccer skills and abilities. Create a safe learning environment for players and the community.
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Being a coach -mentor
- Being patient
- Helping with the development of youth
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- Boys and Girls Club provides all equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has knowledge about the youth soccer program
- Excellent motivator
- Able to inspire plyers, be patient, be a good role model, and a great listener
TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED/DATES AND TIMES AVAILABLE: Tuesdays and Fridays 6:30-8:00 pm
LOCATION OF JOB: Living Hope Church. 401 Farragut Ave. Trenton NJ

Description
The goals of the Boys & Girls Club of Trenton are as follows:
- Build character through the teaching of the values of honesty, responsibility, and respect in our programs.
- Reduce youth risk level through participation in Boys & Girls Club programs.
- Improve educational skills though tutoring programs.
- Develop and foster our technology skills through our computer center.
- Provide safe, fun, and learning environments for our members.
- Develop mentoring relationships between our kids and staff members.
The Boys & Girls Club of Trenton & Mercer County provides after-school, weekend, and summer programs to more than 2,300 Greater Mercer County area youths; 97 percent of them reside in Trenton. Presently, the Boys & Girls Club operates 11 after-school program sites with 1,200 kids enrolled daily, and three summer camps with 450 campers. These programs are conducted at the Boys & Girls Club and at various public school locations within the City of Trenton.
The Club also runs a Career Launch program which serves middle- through high-school students as they prepare for responsible adulthood. Teens at their most at-risk stages gain an understanding of the importance of education in career success, and develop goals for the future.
