The Long Island Fair is a unique family friendly event, and is one of the longest running agricultural fairs in New York State. Volunteers staff the exhibition hall,assist visitors at the information booth, sell apples, gourds and pumpkins, run the children’s games and help out in dozens of different ways. You may volunteer for as many, or few days as you like, plus you receive two free passes to come back on a different day and enjoy the Fair.

To encourage the improvement of agriculture, horticulture, and the mechanical arts through the holding of an annual fair, supporting educational programs and providing scholarships and grants to promote such improvements.

Description

The Agricultural Society of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties has sponsored the Long Island Fair since 1842. The annual harvest fair, cosponsored with Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, is held on the fairgrounds of Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
