We are looking for Publicists to perform publicity work as part of comprehensive public information campaigns to acquaint the public with various Organization divisions including books, courses, events, programs, campaigns, launches, marketing, and digital/social media. Publicists will implement strategies that ensure consistent messaging and identification of cross-promotional opportunities, write and develop key communications materials; engage the general public, influencers, and institutional thought leaders in support of the Organization’s outreach and engagement campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and execute comprehensive, creative, and strategic publicity campaigns for programs working closely with Organization’s Founder and other Success Team Members
Developing and maintaining media lists and relationships with press, and key contacts
Research, write, edit and distribute press releases, materials, and press kits
Monitoring and conducting media outreach.
Engage with television, internet, radio, blog casts, newspaper, and magazine media to book interviews
Engage Influencers to make connections that could lead to collaboration
Requirements:Several years of experience, preferably with a media, PR organization.
A strong understanding of editorial, personality, and product
An ideal candidate would have existing relationships with the press covering TV, business, and/or technology.
The position requires excellent judgment and strategic thinking, organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, creativity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A self-starter with a mature attitude.
Experience with platforms including TweetDeck, CMS, Cision, and WordPress is preferred.
A four-year college degree is required.
