ORGANIZATION: Bona Inclusive Community Development

The key deliverable is provision of Physiotherapy related and advisory services to Children with Disabilities in Bugiri District. The Community physiotherapist will be expected to reach out to an agreed number of children, use available materials and community resources to deliver life changing therapies. The volunteers will be expected to deliver the following;

  1. Diagnose, treat and manage disabilities;
  2. Provide practical skills in physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy to enable the client to apply the skills for his /her learning and employment;
  3. Provide Feedback to Bona ICD regarding the progress of the health care;
  4. Provide enough time for assessment and examination of specific children;
  5. Provide a report to Bona ICD whenever clients are examined and treated;
  6. Make regular follow-up of clients on treatment and provide Bona ICD with a report and;
  7. Make referrals and recommendations for further management and assistive devices respectively.

The volunteer is expected to have atleast a College Diploma in physiotherapy and/or Occupational therapy, Rehabilitation sciences or any related allied health sciences.

  • morning / 09:00 AM to 11:45 AM
    Time can further be discussed when volunteers are identified and on the site
