HR Recruiter & Specialist Volunteers Job summary:

The HR Recruiter or HR Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This is achieved through the development of local, national, and global recruiting plans for specific programs and initiatives, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as new, creative recruiting ideas. The HR Recruiter and HR Specialist play critical roles in ensuring we are on-boarding motivated and engaged talent within three main areas: (1) Professional Volunteers; (2) College/University Interns; or (3) Global Volunteer Ambassadors

The HR Recruiter and HR Specialist will partner with Sr. Management to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the organization. The position will nurture relationships with prospective talent and manage ongoing manager relationships all while having FUN doing it! The HR Recruiter is a true contributor to the growth and stability of the organization and its many programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in our organization.

Develop individual recruitment programs, and collateral to attract applicants in a timely manner.

Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the various goals across all levels within our multiple programs and initiatives.

Create and implement Employment Marketing Strategies to attract passive job seekers.

Work with supervisors and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.

Work closely with Managers to maximize the effectiveness of the recruiting process.

Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.

Work to develop HR teams responsible for the growth and development of multiple programs and initiatives.

Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees.

Coordinate and implement college and other recruiting initiatives.

Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.

Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.

Post openings with volunteer websites, job boards, professional organizations, companies, organizations, and other position-appropriate venues.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
