Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services Health Promotion Team is recruiting volunteers to help facilitate classes in Salt Lake County.

Classes include: exercise for older adults, falls prevention classes, diabetes and other chronic condition self-management classes, Tai Chi programs and a urinary incontinence class for women.

Description

The Salt Lake County Active Aging Program provides exercise classes, volunteer opportunties, community projects, educational classes for older adults 60+ in the community.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • Most classes are taught in a 6 or 10 week series. Must commit to teach at least 2 series annually. Classes are taught M - F 9 AM - 3 PM
  • --Enjoy working with people 60+; Self-motivated and able to work independently; willing to complete the training for each program
